SAY GOODBYE TO RANGE ANXIETY

CHARGING MADE SIMPLE

With Amazon, it's easier than ever to get a charger into your home, like the simple-to-use available Level II Mopar® Branded TurboDX Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger. It can fully charge the Wrangler 4xe battery in approximately 2 hours versus 12 hours using the included Level I charging cable.

TUNE IN TO NATURE

Quiet electric power means you can truly take in the natural sights and sounds around you. But your 4xe is unique and you may hear some unfamiliar sounds. Sounds like the whoosh of the Pedestrian Alert System when driving below 20 mph, the high voltage contactors clicking when you start up and shut down as well as the Electric Air Conditioning compressor.

THE TECH THAT MAKES IT HAPPEN

HYBRID MODE

The default mode, Hybrid, combines torque from both the 2.0L turbocharged engine and the electric motors. This combination provides maximum horsepower, instant torque and the best acceleration. Electric power is consumed first.

REGENERATIVE BRAKING

This feature allows the battery to be charged when decelerating and braking. The Max Regeneration feature remaps the accelerator pedal to command more aggressive regen at low pedal positions. It allows you to slow the vehicle down without the brake pedal, but a complete stop always requires the brake pedal. It also stays selected until you turn it off.

PLUG INTO ADVENTURE

ELECTRIC MODE

When the battery has more than a 1% charge, it can run in Electric Mode. This allows for nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds. The vehicle can run in this mode for up to 21 miles.

RECHARGE

The battery can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours using an available Level II charger (240-volt), or 12 hours using the included Level I charger (120-volt). With the ability to charge at home and work, you can enjoy the benefits of fully electric daily commutes.

Can the Wrangler 4xe Handle Off-Roading?

Fans of off-roading can rest assured that the new hybrid powertrain of the 4xe only enhances its capability, without taking away any of the Wrangler's signature ruggedness. The 4xe is Trail Rated with up to 30 inches of water fording, all-terrain hardware like underbody skidplates and rear tow hooks, and athletic approach and departure angles of 44 and 35.6 degrees, respectively for the ever-capable Rubicon 4xe. The Wrangler 4xe's innovative hybrid powertrain can also be customized for wherever you choose to travel using one of three E Selec modes. Choose between Hybrid, Electric, or eSave to control how much electric power you'd like to use on your journey. The 4xe also has automatic responses that will select the correct powertrain option for you when its battery is running low.

What Makes the Wrangler 4xe Run?

The Wrangler 4xe demonstrates exciting technological innovation for the Jeep brand. Its powertrain is unlike any other Wrangler model, in that it incorporates two fully electric motors powered by a 96-cell 400-volt, 17 kWh, battery pack. The battery and all its components are fully encased in a waterproof seal, and stowed beneath the rear seats so they don't get in the way of any passengers, or any terrain you'd like to tackle. The electric portion of the powertrain is capable of up to 25 miles of purely electric range, which increases to 50MPGe overall when paired with the 4xe's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, as well as 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The torque on the Wrangler 4xe is instantly made available by the electric motors, making it even quicker than previous Wrangler models!

2021 Design Updates for the Wrangler 4xe

The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic vehicles on the road, and the Wrangler 4xe is no exception. It bears the same signature appearance as all Wrangler models, with its round headlamps, trapezoid-shaped wheel flares, detachable doors and roof, and angular, upright design. It also features a special 4xe badge to underscore its hybrid capabilities, and rear passengers will notice that the second-row seat cushions can now be moved to access the battery pack. For those who want to make a bolder statement, Rubicon 4xe trim features new electric-blue accents both inside and out, with a blue-outlined "Rubicon" inscription on the hood, and blue accent stitching on the interior. There are also 9 additional color options to tailor your Wrangler 4xe to your desired look.
