2021 Ram 1500 Power & Handling
Four engines are available for the Ram 1500, and each one comes with an incredible amount of power! Coming standard is a 3.6-liter V6 that delivers an impressive 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine also comes with an eTorque system that helps with the massive Ram’s fuel economy and the engine’s stop/start capability. If this engine doesn’t get your motor running, don’t worry; the Ram 1500 comes with several options! Available is a 5.7-liter V8 that kicks out a massive 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque and is available with or without the eTorque. In addition, there is a diesel option, a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 with 260 horses and a whopping 480 lb-ft of torque. Looking for something new? The TRX has it with a trailblazing turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 that comes with an amazing 702 horsepower and a terrific 650 lb-ft of torque. Every engine in the Ram 1500 lineup comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive, with four-wheel-drive being an option on all engines!
2021 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling
There are a couple of interesting engine options available for the Silverado. Things start on the right foot with the 4.3-liter V6 that comes with 285 horsepower and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. You have the option of a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder that kicks things up a notch with 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Also available is a 5.3-liter V8 that delivers 355 horses and 383 lb-ft of torque or a diesel-powered and turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder that comes with 277 horsepower and a decent 460 lb-ft of torque. These numbers are alright, but they pale in comparison to what the Ram 1500 can offer you.
