What engine powers the Renegade?
One thing that the Renegade is known for is power! Under the hood of this SUV is a spectacular turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder that pumps out a solid 177 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque that will pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission. If you get the base Sport trim, the Renegade will come standard with front-wheel-drive, though all-wheel-drive is available if you want more traction for those bad weather days. Meanwhile, the Limited and Latitude come standard with all-wheel-drive, and the Trailhawk has a specialized four-wheel-drive system. There is nowhere the Renegade can’t go!
Standard items for the Renegade
While the power is certainly a high point for the Renegade, that’s not all it has to offer! You can also get plenty of luxury, tech, and performance equipment even at the base trim level. That base trim is the Sport, and it comes with an easy-to-use a 7-inch touchscreen with a Uconnect 4 with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and SiriusXM. In addition, the Renegade is an incredibly safe vehicle as even at the base trim; you get plenty of standard safety items such as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and a backup camera. Additional interior features include dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, heated mirrors, steel wheels, and 6-speaker audio.
More advanced features for the Renegade
On top of all the remarkable featuers that you can get on the base trim of the Renegade, the higher you go up the trim ladder, the more impressive the features get!
