Is the Grand Cherokee L powerful?
There are few SUVs out there right now that can compete with the Grand Cherokee L in terms of power. However, when you lift the hood, you will be treated to one of two fantastic engine options. The first couple of trims of the Grand Cherokee L come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 capable of producing an outstanding 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. If you go with one of the higher trims, such as the Overland or the Summit, you will get a 5.7-liter V8 that pumps out a massive 357 horses and 390 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive if you go with the V6, but you get a four-wheel-drive standard on the V8.
